Watch D.O.G.S. Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering, that is implemented in schools all around the country. Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other father figures who volunteer at least one day each year. The 2 primary goals of the program are to: 1. Provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. 2. Provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
DAILY PROCEDURE . Report to the office and pick up your Watch D.O.G.S. t-shirt and get your picture taken for the wall of fame! . Assist with morning drop-off and greet the students. . Accompany your child to the classroom where your child's teacher will direct you on how you can help in the classroom. . Help with lunchroom duty, and enjoy a FREE hot lunch! . Join the kids at recess . Leave the Watch D.O.G.S. shirt at the office at the end of the day to be washed and ready for other volunteers.
