Holiday Gift Shop: December An in-school holiday store that your child is invited to attend. This program is completely optional and there will be no pressure to buy anything.
FIRST the students will be able to “window shop”. This will give them an opportunity to see all the items we have available in order to get an idea of what they would like to purchase as gifts for their loved ones.
The gifts will be moderately priced ($.25-$14.00) to fit everyone’s budget. Some of the items available to the children are licensed sport items from local teams, popular jewelry, tools, mugs, licensed gift items, and personalized gifts for mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, brother, sister, aunt and uncle. There are even gifts for the furry members of the family, a.k.a. pets. Just think how exciting it will be for your child to select their own gifts and keep them a “secret” until the holidays! We will put them in gift bags for your child so no one can “peek” at the gifts they are giving.
NEXT a Gift List Planner/Money Envelope will go home in your student’s backpack. This is designed to help decide for whom they will be shopping and how much money they can spend for each gift. By filling it out you will help the parent volunteer guide your child to the proper price ranges so s/he can make purchases within your guidelines. The envelope will also provide your child with a means to transport their money to and from school and will serve as a receipt for your records. If your child does not spend the entire amount included in the envelope, s/he will receive change to be taken home in this envelope.
